About Us
Olivia Richmond
I grew up in Mount Desert Island and Yarmouth, Maine after moving with my family from London, England. I attended Yarmouth schools and spent 4 years at college in Montana before returning home to Maine. My background in real estate administration, bookkeeping and construction finance has formed the foundation of my real estate career.
I am excited to be part of the Portside group and working alongside Kate Huntress. As an experienced horse owner, I am especially interested in helping my clients locate or sell equestrian properties.
I have volunteered for and continue to support the following non-profit organizations: Maetaman Elephant Camp in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Riding to the Top Therapeutic Riding Center in Windham, Maine, and The Mustang Heritage Association based in Texas.
Problem-solving is my passion. Whether I'm training a wild mustang, parenting my toddler, navigating a real estate transaction, or mastering a new skill, I thrive on examining issues from all sides, untangling snarls, and finding solutions.
Kate Huntress
I bring years of social work, business ownership and legal advocacy experience to my real estate career. That background helps me listen to you carefully, identify your unique needs, and negotiate on your best behalf. It shaped the organization, collaboration and customer service skills that I’ll use to assist you completely and reliably.
My effectiveness in relating to – and appreciating – all kinds of people grows out of personal experience. Having bought and sold properties in the United States and abroad over a span of more than 25 years, I know firsthand how emotionally charged the moving process can feel. After all, your home isn’t just a major financial investment. It’s also an expression of your personality, lifestyle, dreams and memories.
After living for many years in London, England, I returned to Maine in 1995. My family roots in this state run deep and as a child I spent most of my summers here. Of the many places I’ve lived, I love Maine best of all. I want you to feel at home here, too.
In addition to working with several local and international charitable organizations, I enjoy cooking, gardening, yoga, water sports and spending time with my husband and our five children. We live in Yarmouth and recently built an energy-efficient modern farmhouse, which we share with a small menagerie of animals.
I look forward to the privilege of working with you.
